Decorative Concrete, a growth industry for the year 2006

12/20/2005

In a statistical survey done by a California company, acceptance of Decorative Concrete for innovative domestic application has grown considerably over previous years. The number of new domestic and commercial clients, many of whom were advised by architects or interior and exterior designers, that have opted for this raw material for counter tops, sinks, fireplace surrounds and novelty flooring finishes have increased by substantial figures, and it looks very much like the trend will continue well into the new year.

Looking at the year 2005 in retrospect, on the acceptance level of Decorative Concrete in preference to many other available raw materials, its versatility, durability and aesthetic factors together form a product that is extremely difficult to compete with.

"Our client base has expanded way beyond expectations," said Blayde Penza, CEO and founder of Ace Concrete from his studio workshop in Sun Valley California. "Response to enquiries has brought us many new clients that we would never otherwise have met because they were searching for the answers that this product provides resulting in our being booked up well into 2006. The clients themselves have come up with some wonderful creative ideas that have enriched the product's application potential."

The escalating popularity of Decorative Concrete is therefore no surprise when one takes into consideration the limiting attributes of its competitors. Its easy maintenance, its durability, and the wide range of different looks that can be created with the only limitation being imagination, make the use of exotic stone and many of the other common products used for both domestic and commercial applications almost obsolete.

With the expanding field that has developed during this last year, it is likely that further technical advances will be made in the coming year that will push Decorative Concrete to the top of the list when searching for a material that has all the characteristics that could possibly be required by a discerning buyer. All that remains is to wish everyone a Happy Decorative Concrete Holiday Season.
